My First Impression About QC

Even before I came to the Philippines, one of my Filipino friends in Myanmar told me that Quezon City is nice and tourist attraction place. So I said to myself mmmm! I would be such a lucky one who would be studying in such a special city. However, in truth, I didn't find the city as interesting as I thought when I arrived in Quezon City. The traffic is terrible! And Air pollution is horrible! But as I continue to live on I get adjusted little by little.

During my life in Quezon city by far, there are places like I always love to be there. But to name one of those is Quezon City Circle. The reason why I love this place is because of the convenience for sports and personal exercise.

I had never been named as an athlete, but sport is one of my favorite stuffs to do in my leisure. Since my grade school years, I always did sport particularly on Football. But I never thought that I would be doing sports and exercise in the Philippines as well. There was no reason at all. First, I don't have peers to play with. And to play football is only possible with a group of peoples. Second, I didn't know place where I could go play.

But after staying for more than two years, I got an acquainted friend who loves to jog. Oh! I never thought of trying that. Upon his constant pressure, I agreed  his invite. And I asked "Where can we do exercise?". "At Quezon City Circle," said he.

My first Day's Impression at Quezon Circle

The next morning, as early as possible, we got up from our bed. We rushed into toilet and brushed. Packing up and wearing up were done, and we left the house. Oh No! I was murmuring. It was already daylight when we were just about to take a jeep to get us to Quezon Circle. I was shy to run in the day light! As long as I remembered the time when we used to take exercise during my football time were always before dawn. By the sunrise we were ready to pack up and go back to our respective homes. But now..

I got no choice because I had agreed to run with him the night before. So when we got there, we started running. As we ran, my shyness gradually eased. And eventually, I really loved to run around the circle. By the time we ran round 6th we were bathed with our own sweat. Then we took our break by rushing to the nearby shop to buy a bottle of mineral water. As I drank, my throat sounded "Gloop glooop gloop..!" wow. That was such a cool thing to do. It must be so healthy. Plus I can keep my body fit.

When we thought that it was enough for a day, we stopped. And we went back home with a great satisfaction in our mind. So then we continued to run once a week for a couple of months. As I am still studying there are times though I want to, that I cannot set a time to spend my time for personal exercise. But as frequent as I could, I do try to run at least a few round at Quezon Circle.

Sports Availablity

I should say I prefer outdoor games to indoor games so much so that I have never been tempted to enroll at any Gym. And I personally believe that gym is good especially for body builder and people who cannot set a time for going out just for exercise. In addition, for gym you need a regular schedule, and money to join the club. I didn't try yet but by just accompanying some friends to Gym club, I don't like the environment of gym. I can't breathe properly. Perhaps! gym is not my type of exercise.

At Quezon Circle, the following sports and exercise can be done. First, there is a good space for running or jogging. There is a street that encircle the monument of Quezon City. So along that street you can run round. One round might take you about 15-20 minutes. if you could run like 3 rounds, that would be sure enough for a day.

Second, there is a good volley ball ground. if you could invite more people that make up one volleyball team, that would pretty cool. The play ground are free. And Basket ball is also available. If you couldn't bring friends, you may also just join the basket ball fanatic people around the court.

Thirdly, Playing badminton would be good to consider. There is a big space for badminton. But I am afraid you might need to bring your own net if you want to play like a pro. :D I mean if you think that you are not contented without playing with the net.

Fourth, there are Aerobic dance clubs early in the morning and late afternoon. They are good and professional instructors. I am sorry that I am not able to direct you where you could inquiry in detail but if you happen to be there in the Circle ground, you would find a way.

Fifth, there are manual exercise fitness tools. Tools that would help you body slim and keep in shape. As you saw above, there is an exercise for your foot as well. I did try it and it sound cool. And if you've got bicycles, you may enjoying riding on it.

Quezon City is named after our Commonwealth President Manual L. Quezon during the American regime. Thanks for promoting one of our cities, Ron!

By the way, you can also visit the nearest television stations there, either GMA 7 or ABS-CBN 2.
